Ford stated in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the recall affects different 2013-2019 Escape, 2013-2018 C-Max, 2013-2016 Fusion, 2013-2021 Transit Connect, and 2015-2018 Edge cars. A faulty or missing shift cable bushing may prevent the car from changing into the desired gear, or it may even roll when the driver enters the 'Park' position. Ford stated that it is aware of six incidents of property damage and four cases of injuries possibly connected to the recall population.

Company has also sent a warning to all U.S. Ford and Lincoln dealers, that due to a fault that necessitates a safety recall, they have to suspend demonstrations and deliveries of all 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E Models made between 27th of May 2020, and 24th of May 2022.

This is already fifth recall from Ford since 2018, which is certainly not good news and need some attention or change.
